LEKI Lenhart GmbH grew out of the wood processing company founded in 1948 in Dettingen/Teck by Karl Lenhart. As a seasoned skier and dissatisfied with the poles available at the time, he decided to make them himself. It was in 1970 that LEKI poles were officially created. Since then, he has specialized in the design of walking, hiking, mountaineering, cross-country skiing, backcountry skiing and more.
