The 120 Merino Cool Tec material stands for pure functionality: the combination of fine merino fibers and plant cellulose fibers is characterized by its cooling and quick-drying properties. Corespun technology, a manufacturing process in which fine merino fibers and Tencel™ Lyocell are spun around a core of polyamide filaments, ensures increased stability. The durable material made from this yarn combines the advantages of merino wool and Tencel™ Lyocell, providing freshness and lightness even on the most demanding climbs.

Merino inside: Ortovox's sustainable merino wool comes from controlled, species-appropriate sheep farming. Soft and comfortable, it's easy to care for and ensures optimal body temperature thanks to its moisture- and temperature-regulating properties.
120 Merino Cool Tec: In this range, the combination of fine merino wool and Tencel™ fibers, derived from eucalyptus wood, is even more durable while maintaining the same cooling effect. Using a complex process (Corespun technology by © Südwolle Group), the fine merino and Tencel™ fibers are spun around a core of polyamide filaments. The resulting yarn creates a fabric that highlights the benefits of merino wool and Tencel™ while remaining extremely robust. (Weight: 120 g/m²)
Tencel™: Tencel™ Lyocell is made from sustainably produced cellulose fibers, which feature a smooth fiber surface with high evaporative cooling, creating a natural cooling effect.
