Kånken was established in 1978 with the aim of preventing back problems among Swedish schoolchildren and it quickly became a classic in kindergartens and outdoor schools across the country. Now, 35 years later, Kånken has straightened millions of backs all over the planet and has become one of Fjällräven's most sought-after products. This classic backpack is just as suitable for going to school or work as it is for hiking and travel.
It is made from strong and lightweight Vinylon F fabric, capable of withstanding dirt and moisture. The bulky main compartment has a large zippered opening, which makes it easy to store and remove the contents of the bag. It has two flat side pockets and a zip pocket on the front, ideal for keeping your small items close at hand. The PE foam seat cushion is inserted into the inside back pocket to prevent the contents of the bag from getting in the back. Plus, you always have it on hand when you want to sit down for a break, wherever you are.
The carrying system is simple but practical and consists of handles at the top as well as thin adjustable shoulder straps. The front logo is reflective. A label showing your address is also inside the main compartment.
