Lowa
Lorenz Wagner founded the Lowa company in 1923 in Jetzendorf, a Bavarian village near Munich. At the time, the "Haferi" made by hand, traditional Bavarian shoes with double seams. In 1930, mountain shoes for alpine shoemakers and laced ski boots entered the LOWA range. When Wagner's heirs took over in the 1950s, they added new products in the founder's mind. Always at the forefront of technology, the brand introduced the Air system in ski boots in 1972 and launched the Trekker model in 1982. LOWA was taken over by Tecnica in 1993 but retained its factory and headquarters in Jetzendorf, Germany.
